Eligibility requirements depend on the selected degree program. Students must have the required Intermediate/A-Level or equivalent qualification for undergraduate admission.
For graduate programs, CUI’s published MS eligibility criteria require a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 in a 16-year degree, or 55% marks under the annual system, in the same or relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
PhD applicants are subject to separate requirements. CUI’s published criteria state that an NTS/GRE/HAT General or equivalent test with a passing score of 60% is mandatory for PhD admission.
Students should therefore check the official eligibility criteria for their specific program instead of assuming that the same percentage requirement applies to every degree.
COMSATS Entry Test 2026
Admission to many CUI undergraduate programs involves an admission test/NAT or another accepted test according to the applicable admission rules.
For Fall 2026, the Islamabad Campus announced its own undergraduate test dates in July.
Students applying to graduate programs may have different testing requirements. CUI’s MS criteria recognize NTS/GRE/HAT General or equivalent tests with the specified passing score, while some programs may have additional subject-test requirements.
